Our Approach
Blended Learning Model
Our program will blend in-person and virtual meetings with interactive discussions to create a flexible learning experience that suits different learning styles and schedules.
Practical Implementation Strategies
We understand the importance of translating theory into practice. Therefore, our coursework will include practical implementation strategies and case studies to equip educators with actionable tools they can apply in their classrooms. SES will facilitate Community of Practice (COP) sessions for participants to use the knowledge gained in training to practice, reflect, and plan together. Each COP will focus on aspects of improving special education instruction and compliance and will include the presentation of content as well as interactive activities and learning with peers.
Evaluation Walk-throughs
SES will conduct regular site visits using a walkthrough model that includes a rubric for each training cycle. Each school will have at least three visits over one year that can serve as a school-based walkthrough, a coach and coachee walkthrough, or any other combination agreed to by SES.
Technical Assistance and Coaching
We are committed to ensuring the successful implementation of special education and inclusive practices. As part of the program, we will offer ongoing support and coaching to educators, allowing them to seek guidance and address challenges they may encounter during the process. SES will leverage its specialists and facilitators to provide differentiated coaching support to instructional teams, ultimately assisting educators with taking the learnings and implementing and/or expanding upon existing practices
